Question HVAC Controls 2007 GT

Every couple of times that I start up the car, the A/C comes on automatically. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a feature to ensure that the system cycles from time to time during long periods of inactivity or just a faulty switch?

It is all in the manual, under a/c.

Anyway - the system will try to de-humidify at all settings that include the 'floor' or 'windshield' settings.
The system will also turn the compressor and activate the a/c EVEN when the little light is OFF - (yes, it lies to you.)

If you leave the setting at 'face' it will not come on randomly, or if it bugs you, there is a ten-amp fuse at the front fusebox, marked 'a/c clutch' which disables the compressor....
