originally the '03s ('04s) were going to have 250 mfg. sugg. HP. When actual N.A. production models were released, they only had 238. So he might be reading some early model info?

Japanese models are rated at 250 hp and the standing theory of the drop in US numbers was due to dumping all kinds of extra fuel to pass emissions, which ironically has a tendency to clog cats. So its possible they just had some bad numbers.

well most rx8s are only 2 cylinders, the extra 2 cylinders give it 20 more horsepower. give or take a few of course.
