while calling around car dealers in CA checking pricing/inventory on 07 models...one dealer said they had a 2006 Galaxy Gray Shinka in stock.

he said they would probably sell it for 7-8k off MSRP...which he said would be $26-27k.

is that a good deal or not? I've seen pics of the shinka, and I've searched for info on them, and I understand that it's mostly cosmetically different, with a slightly different tuned suspension.

I'm looking to either lease a new 07, or buy this 06 Shinka...my payments would probably still be cheaper on a leased 07....but the shinka looks cool...it would make an alredy unique car even more unique...

what is a good price on a car like this 2006 Shinka? it sounds like it has everythign - spoiler, appearance pack..jsut no nav.

could i get it under $25k?

 

I got mine for 6k off list on my 2006 leftover 3-4 months ago. I can only imagine the deals would be better on any 2006's left. I have the GG Shinka and I love it!!

 

I'm sure that 26-27K you were quoted already includes the $3000 rebate on '06s as well as the $1000 rebate for financing through Mazda. I am looking at an '06 Whitewater Pearl, 6-speed, Grand Touring, spoiler, rotary accents, and appearance package. MSRP is $33,824 and I was quoted $26,880 and that already included the $4000 worth of rebates.

 

if you buy an 06 vs an 07 - is the warranty the same? i assume the warranty runs from date of sale, not date it was made....

 

^^^No...the warranty for '06 is 50000 bumper to bumper and it changed to 36000 mile for '07. I think it does start from the date of sale though. That warranty change sucks. Thats why I'm looking to upgrade my '04 to an '06 so I can get a new 50,000 mile warranty, plus a steep discount.

 

I bought my Copper red in 12/06 for $26700+fees. I love the seats, but you really should go see it in person. I don't know how the shinka 8 handles vs other models, but man ...... I smile everytime I take a 90 degree turn at 35-40 mph.

 

There are a ton of the copper red '06 shinkas left around here to be had for a great price, but I don't really care for that color though, but I love the interior.
