Not one of the best... sleepers aren't supposed to look fast. An LS2-powered '8 would just perform as it looks it should (in a straight line, anyway).

expo 1 thanks for your input. but i would like to keep the original engine for reliability purposes. but i would like to have high horsepower. i guess i cant have both. right now i have a 350z and was gonna turbo that with the greddy kit but its real expensive with building the engine and the turbo kit and installation.

i am building an 93 rx7 now with my dad and love the way the car is so i decided to sell me 350z and buy a rx8 to match. lol

But no1 would expect a sub 5 0-60 from an 8 on the street now would they?

With a big turbo and the boost turned way up, you could probably achieve gobs of HP at the rear wheels. Only problem is, your daily driver would probably last, oh, maybe a day or so.

no and no what???? motor swap?? do you truly know what you saying, i seen this car get almost 500hp. which its actually the most you can squeeze out this engine. 350-375 wont be a problem if you got the money to do it.

you could do a 20b swap, it is a 3 rotor rotary. will cost a pretty penny if you arent doing it yourself...and if you were it would be a lot too

I thought the 500hp rx8 was just the shell with an fd 13b engine dropped in. If its from a renesis motor I'd like to see the specs and parts they used to get that kind of horse power.

**Although if I had the cash and another 8 for a daily driver I wouldn't mind doing the cosmo swap.

he claims he knows couple of people with 500hp rx8s, and he said he was gonna give us information about the shop/people that did it, but never provided them.

Great, and it's far easier and far cheaper to make an 800hp Hyundai than what you're talking about. Sure lots of things are possible with enough money, but at some point you're stupid to not just buy a different car. At this point in time the RX-8 just isn't a good choice if you're someone that craves 300+ whp.

You're the one that doesn't "dont know what you got" and the one talkin nonsense.
