Sorry to bump an old thread, but this is the only source I have found with actual numbers. I went a long way out of my way to find my blue 2010 R3 so it's nice to know how rare it is. Are these numbers confirmed in any way?

- 2009MY = 555 units
- 2010MY = 263 units
- 2011MY = 132 units

Sold less and less because the colors got worse and worse. Just my opinion.

 

I want R3 rims.

 

A guy at my dealership told me 3,000 total globally.

 

I think the more interesting question is total volume, not just R3.

 

I have one of the 132! Velocity Red.

i live ine new orleans and here there is only one other R3 besides mine that i have seen. i think someone told me they made 500 of each color. but i could be mistaken. bc that's not many at all.

 

According to the cop that pulled me over... "Your car being red adds 15 mph to your speed", whatever that means... so red is faster by 15 mph.

 

Read up ^... only 132 R3's were produced for the US market in 2011. I have one, and there's only one other '11 R3 in OKC.
