Still runs beautifully. Threw some winter Blizzaks and Black OZ rims on it and drives/handles like a champ in snow (pretty snowy winter so far in chicago). I have 16,000 miles on it (bought one year ago with around 8,000). Been using Protek R with each fillup, supposed to help protect the apex seals provide additional lubrication. If interested check out http://pettitracing.com/rx8/index_maintenance.htm

Double check with your dealer, but I just found out that my warranty was extended to cover me through 2011. (6 years, 60,000 miles) Unexpected bonus!

I still think it is the most unique color Mazda has put out for the 8. Needs constant washing, but gets tons of compliments! ENJOY.

Got any pix yet?

Mine's problem-free after 14K miles. Even though she sits in a garage all week, sometimes two weeks (I only drive on weekends), she always fires right up, first time, every time. Engine's as strong, powerful and smooth as the day I got her two years ago. No squeaks, no rattles, no "marbles in a can" sounds, no exploding sun visors.

My car is not modded, Castrol GTX 5W-20 changed every 3 or 4 months, no pre-mix. 65/35 highway/city, redline at least once a drive, sometime more.

Thanks for the tip Rotorip, ill check it out. And i agree, its an awsome color! I have already had lots of comments on the color.

Mine is going to be a daily driver for the most part, it snowed here today in KY, so i left it in the driveway and took my daughters 626 instead. i just got this car last week, with 23000 miles. I felt like that was pretty low miles for a 05 :-\

Oh yea, they told me about the warranty when i bought it, very nice.

I need to try to red-line it... i have been forgeting to do that.

Ill try to get some pics up as soon as the snow melts off.

Pics with snow are ok, too. That's all we have out here in London, Ontario.

Enjoy your cool shinka!
