How many miles were on your 8 before you started modding?
#3
I waited for almost a year. I swore I was NEVER gonna mod my car. I wanted it to be factory original.
Then I got some springs (thank you Kwescott)
and an exhaust (thank you Steph)
some wheels. (thank you Toka)
And short shifter (Kwes again)
And I swear . . . no more modding.

There's a lot of mods that have legitimately fixed problems with mazdas OEM design: racing beat screens & ignition upgrade are two things I think should have been factory spec
You can tell your wife/gf/parents that they don't count as modding for budget purposes Install them immediately

I waited a year and then it was on, I now have done full brake, exhaust, and suspension upgrades. I have a friend that just bought a new truck and has installed k&n intake and full custom exhaust before even making a payment! And he's got more things ordered and on the way!
