Angry How to keep the mice out?!

So I live in the boonies and with that comes mice! It never fails, no matter what vehicle we get mice always seem to find a way into the car or under the hood. Recently we found acron shells under the hood! This is not going to work! I've thought about the obvious mouse poison but I worry they'll crawl into the car somewhere to die and stink for the rest of the year...yuck. Any ideas?

Hold the cat and rub it on your car, everywhere,

mouse does not like Cat's smell and will run if they smell it.

An ultrasonic rodent repellent has worked well for me.

I just place one under the hood alongside my BatteryTender for winter storage. Works far better than mothballs!

They like to build a nest on the exterior side of the cabin air filter.

I also use one in my shed and nary an issue.

There is a product called CarCoon that places the car into a big plastic bag with forced ventilation. Not cheap but it should keep everything out...

Oddly enough I've lived in Tn all my life and never had a mouse in any vehicle. But I don't leave them sitting in fields or barns, I drive them.

I have gotten vehicles that've had cats, squirrels, and rats living under the hood and in the interior. Again these are mostly cars that are let to sit for weeks at a time for whatever reason.

ugly...
There are some ultra sound mice repellants that work wonders, the mice actually start ignoring them after a while though.
Mice traps work but you have to remove them and it may not be that funny, otherwise try some spray repellant but remember to reapply it from time to time!

Call a pest control or go get a pet snake. It will scare all unwanted creepies around your car. Good luck.
