How hard to install "Rotary Accents"
I'm going to get my front/rear rotor accents this afternoon,
how hard is it to install them?
I'm asking because if it's too hard, I will ask the dealer to do it for me.
Any instructions available somewhere???
I did use the search option, but no luck so far.
THANKS

I installed mine in about 20 minutes. It is very easy. There are instructions with diagrams in the boxes. Be sure to clean the surfaces well and use the prep wipe that comes in the kit. I'd also install them in a warm environment if possible.
Basically you just clean the surfaces, apply some adhesive strips, press fit the rings in place and put 2 little screws in the front ring (the rear doesn't have any), and let dry/cure.
The hardest part was putting the two little plastic screws into the front accent and that wasn't bad with the right screw driver.
This really is one of the easiest installs. Nothing to worry about.
Good luck,
mm

As Positron mentioned- the warm environment is important... but since you're in the great white north where things just don't "set" very fast in the winter, I would recommend using a hair dryer for a couple minutes on hot after you've got them stuck on to help accelerate the curing/bonding process of the adhesive underneath. The last thing you want to do is leave your rear emblem on the highway somewhere.
That is great news...my dealer (a lame one) told me to forget putting those on. Even they would not do it.
The reason? They had had problems installing a spare tire kit on another person's '8 and that was it. What does one have to do with the other?
