How to get the most from an insurance claim.

Very nice post. My 8 has not been in an accident, but I thought I a good idea to check up on the insurance companies value of the car per your advice. Here is the response that I was give.
"Thank you for contacting MetLife Auto & Home.
Unfortunately we do not have the current blue book value for your 2011*Mazda. If there were an accident in that vehicle at that time the*adjuster would determine the value of the vehicle. The premium for your*vehicles are based on the manufacturers rating symbols which is what*they use to determine the cost of repair or replacement of a vehicle."
They are delaying the cost estimation until an accident/claim is made. I guess I just sit back and hope that I dont have to find out the process first-hand. I am curious exactly what the manufacturers rating symbols are for the RX8 and how they are used by insurance. Oh well, will have to google that some other time I suppose.
