I had a friend who drove 88 MPH in a Delorean. He just up and disappeared on me.

I tend to run into my comfort limit in my car before I run into the car's limits. Trying to go fast around corners is how I got into my first and only car accident. Too many bad drivers out there for me to be taking on ramps at 80mph, not that it is not fun, it is just not safe. Full lateral grip = no braking grip.

Just pick a turn and try it at 40 then 45 then 50 and so on till you start to break it loose and back it down to the mph from the turn before and that is where you are safe (oh do this on a closed course street racing is not tollerated) good luck.....

I went into a turn at 120mph Initial D style and then overtook the AE86 on Akagi.

Just one thing as you take that practice curve faster and faster every day, don't second guess yourself and hit the breaks in mid turn.
It's worse than doing 88!

I took a turn really fast once, but they made me return it.

I guess I wasn't fast enough.

This is the biggest joy I have with my car, besides all the head turns...

While our car may not be the best off the line (especially mine since its auto) - I love taking exits and tight turns as quick as I can, I love the handling.

I take an exit to get on 295 on my way home from work and the sign is posted at 35, I usually take this about 65-70 and merge right into 295...

The exit I take going to work is a 25 mph tight bend, I usually do 55 or so on this one - its really tight.
