kinda new to thes cars so bear with me. whats the norm for these cars, i am sure that thes cars can do 13's but is 12 's out of reach?

With FI or an engine swap. Otherwise...don't count on it.

yea i would have a turbo, with some sort of whater/meth boost cooler. the shop is saying about 300-350 at the wheels. duno if that is enugf to get her into the 12's

Stockwise be happy even you can hit low 15 or high 14. 13 would be impossible without FI, 12 I think is fantasy

You really need to learn some basics before you start doing major mods like FI and meth or water injection (not boost control ).

 

12s? Hope yur not talkin about stock...be lucky to get into mid 14s by dumpin the clutch @ 8K. As mentioned, anything can be done with the money...but if yur asking about right off the lot...don't hold yur breath. The car is sporty and quick to buzz around, but it's not exactly a muscle car.

And before I put on my flame-retardant suit, I own both an RX-8 and a Cobra...so I'm just talking from experience. I love them both for completely different reasons!
