How can I lock/unlock the doors with the remote while the engine is running?

How can I lock/unlock the doors with the remote while the engine is running?

I know this question has been asked before....
I've done a search and no one has posted a D.I.Y. on how to accomplish this...

I know there are those of you who will say, "this shouldn't be done...."
None the less, I'd like to be able to lock/unlock my doors with the engine running via the remote.

Anyone figured out how to do this?

Read through the DIY on "Disabling the Door Open Chime"....you may have a win there. My Oz RX-8 won't allow it, but your US fob may.

Already tried it last year and unfortunately it didn't work on mine..
It got rid of my buzzer and completely disabled my remote...

I should have an Aussie 8 instead of a US version :o

Why? The US gets the extra oil cooler am I right? The Aussie gets the puddle lights? I'll take the oil cooler...

We also don't get a/c amp problems, all our cars have climate control. We do without TPMS, no annoying light on the dash. Our gearboxes are unbreakable and we never get less than 20mpg. Our paint doesn't chip, our A/T cars don't lose compression or carbon up. We have Strato Blue in the line-up. We can tell that objects in the mirror are closer than they appear, we don't have our passenger mirror etched with the warning. Our oil cap is black, but we can still find it. Our cars very rarely flood, and we don't have to worry about Nav upgrades....we don't get Nav. The "Curse of the Silver" remains a US specific RX-8 trait, no-one in Australia has ever crashed a Silver RX-8. Our brake hubs don't rust. Our idle is always steady. All our cars have DSC. When it's cold you park your car for half the year. Here when it's cold and we park our cars, the meter maids shiver in their bikinis.

You can have the extra oil cooler.... .

however - with all those extras .. we also pay about $20000 more for our car to be imported

I disabled my door chime, lost my welcome interior lights. RF still does not work when runing. My friend lock my key's in my car doing this.

Premium fuel costs $1.10/litre here. An RX-8 without Nav, leather, sunroof, Xenons costs about $42560 USD.
