Hotter n' Hades!
Hey all,
I live down here in Atlanta and just had something weird happen the other day. My wife and I went out for a ride in the late evening hours, and drove the car reasonably hard (no red-lines... just 7k shifts), and all gauges were fine, engine temp was normal. I also had my air on, since it's humid as crap down here. When I pulled into the garage and shut the 8 off, the engine fan kept on for about 10 minutes, which weirded me out... is this normal? I've never had a car do this before - so I figured I'd ask.
Cheers.

yes , its normal, but as a helper in those cases I usually pop the hood ,just takes a minute of my time and the heat disapate quicker. yes ,I also wonder about it but doing the hood thing is no problem for me.

Normal, RedLineShinka. If you insert you key in the ignition and turn it the fan will stop, BUT DO NOT INTERRUPT this action. The fan is just the car's way to cool off. It's electric fan so it should not be too hard on your battery.

BTW I also pop the hood if the car is in the garage to help with cooling the car. Also, all cars not just the 8 has this feature, this happened to me with my old BMW.
