Hood/Bonnet Gas Struts: useable?
Hello,
If any of you have the gas strut option installed I'd be grateful if you would give your opinion of the quality. I saw a post from a few weeks ago that claimed the force on the hood to close it was bending the aluminium. Is this so please?

In my opinion the gas strut option would be a waste of time as the hood is so light anyway. In fact when I first lifted it up I thought there must have been one installed.

hello lensman, good to have back posting! the gas struts are not currently available in North America, so no one will be able to answer you question, unless perhaps they are available in japan and one of those folks have them...
