*****! Sorry to hear about that dude (pains me to see a BC Shinka like that). The suggestions here sound reasonable. Does seem likely its someone who lives there or visits regularly. Keeping tabs on area body shops seems like a good thing to do.

Do the police seem hopeful or are they saying your probably screwed?

WTF is wrong with some people?

Definitely take a negative and make it a positive. Get a body shop to quote the factory parts and labor and apply to a body kit purchase. Most shops will do it cause not illegal there as long as the values are similar. Good luck and so sorry to hear. Might want to invest in a neighborhood garage.

^I see it all the time in my parkinglot at work. Usualy by Elderly people, they back up hit a car sometimes a light bumb other times a heavy hit. They know they hit something because you see them stop or at times keep on backing up, then when they do stop they look around quickly and then proceed to drive away.

A few times I've had people come in and ask to use the phone to call the police because they seen someone hit a car and drive away and wish to report it. Overall these types of people just go by the rule of "No one saw it so its alright.", 2 years ago I actually seen a minivan back into a carmy and jsut drive away. I left a note for the woman telling her what happened and wrote down half of the lisence plate for her (all I could memorize as it was 20-50 yards away).

Thanks, I did try that. But in PA, Unisured Motorist only covers bodily injury.

And Pat, I desperately want to come to NJ to get my car done, I just don't have the time right now with a new job and finals.

Happened to me. I found the car and the driver was a street rat punk, my color was infused in his dent but the cops said I would need a witness. I thought about getting some of my boys together and tell him to admit it but decided wasn't worth my time. The guy was in and out of jail and probably no insurance anyway.

On a lesser scale some dude left a dent in my door and that pissed me off to no end - I can only imagine how you must feel.

Well I need a holiday anyway. Find this dude and I'll fly over and help string him up by the *****. Then I'll pop over to Racing Beat and buy some stuff while I'm at it

No it does not. Uninsured Motorist coverage only covers medical coverage when hit by an Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist. It does NOT cover property damage.

Your Comprehensive coverage will cover your damage minus your deductible.

Make sure you get a picture of street rats car where it damaged you - when you see your insurance agent make sure he gets a copy. He may just throw it away or there may be things that he can do - Hey, if your are in N.J. don' t you have any friends where you can say "Hey Roco, take care of this kid - needs to learn some respect!"?

Real sorry about what happened, I would be blinded by an evil rage if it happened to me. Good luck on the repair.

On another note though, although I get why you called the thread what you did...at first I thought I was gonna see some really really funny video!

Mazdaspeed (or other) rear bumper: Check!
CF Trunk lid: Check!
Aftermarket Cat-back exhaust: Check!

Look on the bright side, for all the PITA that this will be your car will come out looking better than new. Trust me, I know how much of a pain a situation like this can be, my 8 has been attack 3 times in parking lots in under 6 months of ownership... but now it looks like this

Before:

After!:

Play your numbers right and you can come out of this with some seriously nice parts for $50-$100 more per part than OEM. Out of pocket I payed about $250 in difference to put a vented CF hood and body kit on the front end instead of OEM parts.

Good luck with everything man, I hope you find the bastard that did this and rearrange his face... but if not, at least your cars *** will looks super sweet when Mechanic 90210 is done with it!
