Question Hiring a RX8?

I am going on holiday to Florida in March and was wondering if anyone knows of a company that rents RX8's.
If not I am going to end up with a mustang or similar

Hope you can help

Don't count on it. You can get a convertible Mustang at Hertz. Mazdas are not widely rented, and I doubt you will see an '8 with any of the major companies.

Edit: Oh, and we call it "renting" here. You hire people and rent things.

I am off to Orlando.

Was there in September and did Orlando the first week, then St Pete's the second. Got the chance to come back with some friends fairly cheaply. Looking forward to it, except that my car is due in March as well.

Well, depending on what part of town you're in you CAN rent people... :D

Hertz might be the best bet for a RX-8 as well since Ford (Owner of Hertz) of course also partly owns Mazda. However I'd be surprised if you could get one from them.

I checked a bunch of exotic car rental places as well and it doesn't look like any of them carry something as inexpensive as the 8. You could still give some of those a call, they might be able to arrange something even if they don't have one in their normal inventory. It won't be a cheap rental though I'm sure.

A last resort could be to call Mazda dealerships nearby, they might (unlikely) rent one or know someone who is.

I did a search as well and could not find any exotic car rental places on the internet that rented RX-8 in FL (or elsewhere). I agree with above that one of the places might work something out with you, but not likely the usual candidates (Hertz, National, etc.) Good luck!

Driven Image has an location in Clearwater.

Lots of nice cars but no RX8. Call them though. They are right next to the Mazda dealer. Maybe they will decide to get one if people are asking it.

If you don't get an RX8. At least get a convertible. We have been having perfect convertible weather here lately.
