well trust me i've had mine for 2 years this feb and it still makes me smile taking it up to 7k and farther and i do it everyday just to do it don't think about cleaning i'm just having time....i mean it's not going to damage it terrible but higher reving and higher torque in the transmission puts stress on the parts and syncros if u are shifting hard etc etc....

thank you all for your input...and yes, that was taken by my camera phone (sidekick)...everytime im on the highway, i slow down, put it into 2nd gear, and just slowly move through at the rpm's in 2nd and 3rd (not flooring it nor shifting hard), just to clean out that carbon as you all say...i guess i've read so much about this problem, and how much its cost people, i realllly dont want it to happen to me...

as long as u drive the car like it's meant to b driven and dont lug the engine it wont carbon as much and keep oil in it and possibly think about premix and you should have hundreds of thousands of miles of fun

the trannys tend to be broken by overshifting and bending the shift forks..

the torque is what it is.

^that's what i was explaining that torque causes stress and can possibly damage parts but i'm not saying shifting a 9k in 1st will automatically break something just I don't believe it's good to bring it up to 9k EVERY time in first and then slam into 2nd and bring that up to 9k or you will break something!
