Hi Folks .
Hi Folks .
I have just joined this web site. A lot of info here . This is my first post!
I first got an rx8 last year - loved it so much bought a second one !
However I got a problem with the first one. When it is on dipped beam there is no light in the area at the front of the car but ok at the sides? The only way I can describe it is like someone is shining a torch to the left and right of the front of the car and leaving a grey area in the middle.
Any advice would really be appreciated as I have an auto electrician trying to sort it out .
Regards and many thanks

Is there lght on both sides?
With HID lights, the pattern should be flat in the middle and to the left and angling up to the right. (Opposite if you're in a country where you drive on the left. From your accent I suspect you're in the UK?) If there's light to the right and none in the middle and the left, the lights are pointing down. That could be a problem the healight leveler, which is controlled by a sensor in the rear suspension. But what you describe sounds more like the lights are twisted, or more likely someone did a HID conversion using a cheap kit.
Do you know what kind of lights you're supposed to have? It's halogen on the base models, and HID as you move up in trim level.
