LOL, Wish I knew that a couple of weeks ago. I thought someting was wrong with the transmitter. Whenever I locked the doors...no flashing lights. I called and made an appointment with the dealer, he told me I would probably need to reprogram the transmitter. I then noticed my trunk was open slightly. BINGO! That fixed the problem. :o

I am afraid I have to admit to poping the trunk instead of unlocking the doors a few times. My last remote had the trunk and unlock in the opposite places.
I think there needs to be a universal standard !

just be happy you have the feature...most cars the trunk isn't tied into the security system (except open cars like an Lexus Suv RX300, Mazda 3/6 5door, etc.) and so it is an easy way to break in...

Yes it is a nice feature, but always remind yourself, that when you lock your car, watch for the lights to flash and the horn to sound to let you know that the trunk or hood is open.
By the way, pressing the fob once locks the doors, but pressing it twice sounds the horn in addition. Are they both the same mode of protection?

Oh no, I'm getting deja vu....
I had this exact same thing happen to me on my 626 and it took like a WEEK to figure out what was wrong! *blushing*
At least if my RX ever does this, I'll be prepared... *smiling*
