Since the start of this week I've noticed a very distinctive scraching sounds coming from the engine while driving. The sound is similar to two rocks rubbing together. I only hear it in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear between 3k and 4k RPM. Right around 3.2k and 3.5k the scratching sound comes on, then from 3.7k to 4k, it come on again. I'm pretty sure it's from the engine. I tried engaging the clutch and then reving the engine up between 3k and 4k while going 65mph and the sound isn't there. It seems to only occur under normal driving. The sound isn't very loud but is definitely audible and sometimes even with the stereo on. Has anyone had this problem before? Any guesses? I'm going to take it in this weekend to the dealer to get it looked and get its oil changed (~8.5k miles)...

On another note... can anyone give me any advice for removing white wax marks from the outside black paneling? I've tried rubbing it off and it just won't work.
