Zero is an even number, right?

Seriously though, this is why the admins of this site suck. They either need to delete crap threads like this or toss them into the garbage dump (aka the Lounge).

I've read quite a few posts from zeblien; I think beginning with his convertible 8. And I'm beginning to understand his "humor" and although the posts should be jerked (maybe), I kinda enjoy it.

Who else could get three pages of responses on such a topic as "Where are my pistons".........along with quotes from the mechanic.....

hahahahah,..................priceless............. ...

Exactly! That's why he's lucky to have a heads-up mechanic. Sounds like a good price, too.

Zeb - are you getting dino or synthetic pistons? I've heard bad things about the synths. Not all synths, just certain brands.

We all know synthetic pistons can clog the ports with carbon deposits.

What is the phone # of that mechanic? He seems to know more than anyone else on this forum. See we all need pistons. Damn I knew there was a problem with HP.
I WANT 5 PISTONS,,I'll put them in the trunk and when someone asks me how many cylinders I have I can take the pistons out and show them,,,FIVE.

This is obviously gonna blow your minds. Technically, the 8 DOES have pistons (or atleast the equivalent). It doesn't have cylinders, a crankshaft nor a camshaft, but turns by means of an internal gear on the inside of the rotor engaging a smaller conventional gear on the spindle (which is the equivalent of a piston). Cars with cylinders are referred to as reciprocating-piston engines. The Wankel is a rotary-piston engine. Rotor seals are the equivalent of piston rings in a normal engine. Just FYI...

ok, this answers alot of questions because I'm missing some torque. I always felt that this car was a little slow on the straights and now I know that my tranny may be damaged...

I wonder if there will be a recall for this...maybe if they put in a bigger tranny, I'll get more torque...

I went to go pick up my 8 from Philip & Sons Mechanic & Tire (in albuquerque look it up if you want his phone number). He said I couldnt take it because he already started the work on it. He removed the radiator, the alternator assymbly, and the front suspension (why I dont know!?!). He is waiting for a manual to arrive before he can do more work. He did loan me his 72 ford pickup so I dont have to take the bus. Its not bad, but its a faded green color so its kinda ugly. Oh well I guess I cant change my mind and take it to another mazda dealer instead. Thanks guys for your support! If only I could access this site from home I might have caught him in time.
