that's never good on a rotary engine if it was never started during these months...

Did it start behaving like this when started for the first time after it was sitting?

I would check the plugs for a start. What color is the smoke? Is it throwing a check engine light?

When it's cooled down check the coolant level. It might have a leak into the combustion chamber.

Just top it up, but if it is a leak it is serious.

Rebuild if it is actually into the housing.
