Hey, i am about to purchase a 2007 Rx8. Is there anyone generous out there with a Carfax account that would help me check the VIN number of the car?

If your buying it from a dealership, they will do it for free, no fees to you

 

Carfax doesn't have unlimited accounts anymore (as far as I know) so you will be very unlikely to find somebody to help out. If you are buying from a dealership, ask them to carfax it, if you are buying from an individual, ask them to carfax it (and if you don't buy the car, the seller can keep the report for the next interested party).

As a side note - if you can't afford the carfax, you can't afford the car. good luck!
