So i got my 8 in February, its actually a 2006 built date saying feb 1/06, Galaxy Grey Mica.........Anyways the car looks great love the looks, so i love it but when it comes to the little things that bug me i hate it ........so far 1)marbles in the can sometimes at very high rpms..... i thought 2006 dont have it??? , then also 2) When u start the car when its hot already u hear water passing thru tubes behind the glove compartment i think it has something to do with bubbles in it or so..... also i thought 2006 had the pcv 3) the suspension i hear knocking in the steering wheel when passing over large bumps like the linkage is loose or so 4) the mettalic sound in 2nd and 3rd gear and 5) friggin tranny 2nd gear grinds in unless it gets very warmed up then is all smooth like what the frig...... am i just weird about my car ????? and read too much of this forum info or is my car really sick lol i only have 10,000.00km on it what the hell????? need some help and dont tell me to search cause u guys never answer the questions completely......

I can relate on a different level. I don't have your issues but have the horrendious gas mileage gremlin, 12.5 mpg. What we both may be sharing in Mazda's inability or unwillingness to fix the problems with their cars.
I had the water noise behind the dash board also but mine happened in the winter. It proved to be air in the coolant system and was correctable. Hope this helps.

Mine is an 04 GT, absolutely love the look, the drive. I only hate the squeaking brakes. My clutch used to click, but not anymore... I'm OK with the mpg because I already knew about it when I purchased. Torque... hmmm... a little more would be nice, but not a deal breaker really...

I think you are being too anual. All those noises and transmission grinding??? What are you using a stethyscope to hear water passing through hoses behind the glove box??? And if the 2nd gear grinding push the clucht down all the way. The RX-8 has one of the smootheset clucht and transmission available unders $40K.
You like it but its not perfect, Nothing is.

hmmmm as to ur reply with 2nd gear trust me i do clutch it in all the way many guys had this issue when car is cold and its only 10,000.00 km as i mentioned......so yeah it goes is hard in second when cold then once u drive it for a long time and it reaches max temerature then it all smooth....and btw with the air bubles in the coolant system trust me u can hear it very loud so i an no too crazy about my car i paid 40k for it so i want it prefect so far it feels like i own a 5 year old car that needs constant maintenance.........get my point we are lucky to have this rx8club think of all the unfortunate ppl that just drive the car and dont even get no recall letters sucks to be them

I love mine and I don't give two ***** about the gas mileage. I didn't look at it and go "Oh... 1.3 liters and 300 pounds. I can have fun and save fuel at the same time". People need to research this **** before buying one of these.
