I would still like an RX8 some day, but a friend of mine made it obvious that the majority of RX8 owners in his Metro are female... I was like no way.... sure enough I've noticed prolly 1/2 to 2/3 of the ones I happen to see are chix.... so are RX8s becoming chic cars or what.... anybody else notice this saddening truth... for me even more of a reason to not buy a used one, enuff rotary ignorant owners out ther as it is.

lol its not a "chix" car. A Miata can be considered one i guess. But the whole chick car thing came up in the muscle car era didn't it? so if u drove an econo box it was a chick car.... now a days it isnt so cut and dry.

Where are all these "chick" 8 owners?? I have seen 2 in my lifetime (in person). Other than the few on this site, i just havent witnessed any evidence to support any claim of the 8 being owned by a marginal number of females.

IMO there is 1 reason and 1 reason only why any mention of the 8 as being a chick car and that is because of FF: Tokyo Drift. This movie gave the haters a reason to put that "label" on the car.

 

Lot of Chix drive "8's" around were I live. -I think its time for me to break out that Ford Pinto stashed in my garaged.

It's been a chicks car. Honestly, 3/4 of the RX8s i bump into on the streets are driven by girls/women. Hell, my mom is looking for an AT RX8 right now.
