Yeah, it's a "chick" car... every chick I know (and old hens for that matter) wants to trade me their POS (jk, well... not really) for this technical marvel, but only cause they think it's "cute"... LMAO!
Happened to me again yesterday. One my girlfriends say that so-and-so thinks it's a girl's car. But I look at it like this:
To catch mouse, use cheese. To catch a fish, use bait. You get the idea. I don't think chicks are running up to a 300C saying "WOW, is that a HEMI?"

I've counted no less than 7 lady posters in this thread.
This is definitely a chick thread.
Ladies, how yooou doin'?
Don't forget this thread.

I'm a female, too, but I don't really consider it a chick car. I get as many compliments about the car from guys as I do from girls. The women do tend to call it "cute" and the guys "nice" or "hot."
I had that other "chick car" (the Miata), too. Ha.

I got my '8 back in October, and every engineer I work with (95% male) absolutely loves the car. Many of them are considering purchasing one now. I had never heard anyone call this a "chick car" until seeing this thread. Plus, anywhere I drive, I get stares from everyone--male or female.
I don't think RX8 is a Chick car.
But adding an Eyelid will definitely Delete the word of Chick from their mouth
Anyway both RX8 and 350Z is driven by a Celebrities :D
RX8 = Britney Spiers
350Z = Paris Hilton

Yeah, a Hello Kitty decal would be better. Or maybe Powder Puff Girls (or whatever they are I don't know I just remember this hot chick was talking about them).
I would say it's not a chick car because of the rotary. Chicks
To me chick car=
VW Beetle, Mazda Miata, Ford Mustang (V6 or convertible), Ford Probe, Ford Thunderbird (new ones), Chrysler Sebring, Mitsubishi Eclipse (especially Spyders), Toyota Celica, Toyota MR2, Honda S2000, Porshe Boxster, Lotus Elise.
Basically chicks seem to go for looks, and convertibles. They want some sort of power, or at least a sense of power. The top priority is looks. Practicality is out the window. Anything that has a small trunk, looks 'cute', and maybe it has power or maybe it just looks like it has power.

For guys, it's all about the power; for the ladies, it's all about the looks. And as all of your posts in this thread are so much more concerned with looks than performance, your own words say that it is a chick car (BTW, my definition of a chick car: a chick car is just like a chick, looks good and has no *****
)As for your list, I find it interesing that you include the S2000, the Elise, and the Boxster (S), since all 3 of these kill the RX-8 in performance. I also don't agree that all convertibles are chick cars. Certainly the Miata, MR2, Sebring, and Eclipse spyder are (again, look good but have no *****), but the S2000, Boxster S, Elise, Corvette, Mustang Cobra, 350Z are certainly not chick cars.
Is the RX-8 a fun car to drive? Certainly! Is it also a chick car? Certainly!
Well, maybe I can offer a little different perspective for you. As a reformed chick-car owner (BMW Z3) who was also in denial about having a chick car, I can tell you that the RX-8 is certainly viewed as a chick car.

And as far as having no *****, I'm perfectly happy with a sub-6 second 0-60 time. It'll smoke most cars on the road and look a hell of a lot better doing it than your STI.
well Im a chick and it is my car does that make mine a chick car? Though I do get a lot of guys looking at it and asking me all kinds of questions about it. It is a great way to meet people! but I think it is a guy car. until they make a convertable mode...than that would be a chick car diffenately!
