Hard to start when parked at an incline?

I don't know if it's just my car but I noticed that when my car is parked at an incline where the front end of the car is higher than the rear, it takes it a bit longer for the car to start. Any ideas?

This happened consistently at my friend's house where his driveway is slightly more at an incline than most driveways.

I actually noticed this too, I'd like to know what causes that.

I park daily on such incline, and never had a problem. She start smoothly for me.
Perhaps it is fuel level related...
