Greetings!

Hey guys, I've been reading the forum for a few weeks and I'm finally getting a chance to join.

So here's a little bit about me. I've been an officer of my car club at UCI, called Imports@UCI, for a few years now so I'm not new to cars. I fell in love with the RX-8 when it came out and since then I've been trying to figure out ways to get one. I even used it as my main car in Initial D version 3, hahaha.

Anyway, I figured the best way to get one would be to get a job at Mazda, so that's what I'm doing nowadays. I work at Tustin Mazda here in SoCal and love it. Even though I don't own one yet, I get to drive the RX-8s around whenever I want.

I recently met Kelvin, he's part of Imports@UCSD, and he told me to join, so here I am!

EDIT: haha, i probably should have mentioned I drive a '00 Toyota Celica GT and take it on road courses like Willow Springs once in a while. I've had it for a few years and love it, but it's time to move on up to a RWD rotary, w00t!

Wow - you work at Tustin Mazda? Convenient....I was looking at buying from them in the near future...

Just curious, how much are new RX-8's right now? Like, with all the rebates/markdowns that you can offer.

I was browsing your website - all the available cars are >$31K, which is unbelievable in this bad market...

Pre-owned is a little better, but still pretty high...

Oh, and welcome to the forum :D

Fosho! Those 09's are what I'm waiting for. They're supposed to come out with the R3 package too...

haha, it is really fun, cuz all I really do is talk about cars all day, which I do anyway with my friends. I do sales, but I'm pretty cool with the tech guys too if you need service done.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone seems pretty cool here so far.

Hey, I'm actually at the dealership now if you wanted to check out what we have. Yeah, all our new ones are going to run you around 30k, but we have a bunch of pre-owned for under 20k. There's a really hot purple one called "Shika Special Edition" for like 17k.

Anyway, my number is 818-913-0283 and we can set up an appointment. We'll take it out up Redhill Ave up to the hills and have some fun with it, hehe.

Aah, I'm at work now
The Shinka looked great ..... but I want a manual lol - 9K redline ftw!

When I do come up to look at 'em, I'll def. call you up!

PS: I still can't believe the new ones are going for $30K - there are really no rebates on those? Damn....
