I'm not going to go into any details about what happened until the insurance claim is settled, but know the odo read 996 when it happened.

I apologize to everyone who loves this car. No injuries tho!

Wow, that sucks! That's gonna take a lot of work to fix. Hopefully it can be done! Good luck with that.

I'm totally fine. Those B pillars in the doors really held up. Sittin upside down in the car, the drivers side door opened no problem. After they flipped it over, all 4 doors and the trunk opened just fine so I could get my stuff out. The only part that collapsed was the front of the roof where it meets the windshield....and not much.

How long do you think we have to wait for the story? I bet it's a good one ... I've heard the 8 is virtually unflippable.

Perhaps he shouldnt tell the story. I'm sure a lot of these nice posts, the "oh, I'm glad you're not hurt" posts, etc.. will soon turn into flames.

Quick update. Insurance just called, the car is a total loss, they're not even going to inspect it. Should be finalized by the end of next week, or so they tell me. Sorry to leave you all hanging on the details, but I thought you'd like to see those pictures. Anybody have any experience with this kind of insurance thing? I've never been in an accident before so this is sorta "virgin ground" for me.

And I DEFINITELY was NOT drunk. I was just leaving a 4 hour writing class.

Unless you have gap insurance your going to get Book value TODAY. Don't know how you paid for it but is there are no other pockets to go after you will lose some money.

Good, then there will be no flaming from me! I'm glad they totalled it though, you could never rebuild from that amount of damage and be satisfied.

Will wait patiently for the story on how you flip an 8 .... :twiddles thumbs:

OMG! I will not say all the obvious things that come to mind. I'm really glad you are OK. Yet another total with no injuries. This is one fine car for accidents as far as protecting the passengers go. I look forward to your explanation. Good luck with all the insurance issues.
