Got towed
So, my condo lot was getting paved, and they gave NO notice, and my car was towed around the block. I'm really p*ssed at them and am handling that (they did not notify all owners of this, only put notices up in a few random buildings).
at any rate, they just towed my car around the block to another lot. Luckily i was parked so that they could have towed it 'properly' if you can call it that. (i.e., front wheels spinning, lifted at the rear).
that being said, i'm so pissed it was towed and would assume it was not on a flat bed.
I checkd my car for damage to the front lip, etc (im lowered on MS suspension) and no scratches so thats good. Assuming they didn't use tow hooks (as i wasn't there to provide them with it), is there anything else I should look for? Car seems to drive okay right now, rear rims are not scratched. Alignment seems okay. I trust they did an okay job towing it around the block, just curious as to how they lifted the car and hooked it up and where else to inspect for damage.
thanks for reading.

Are you sure you didnt have a late night and park there to begin with. They repaved my condo area and my patrol car was moved. I thought no way in hell did anyone tow my patrol car. It turned out I parked around the corner the night before due to there being shade under a tree.

^ uh yeah, 100 positive. the lots are in completely diff areas and I was sober yesterday...
they towed my wifes car too.
im most curious as to how they tow the car what they do if its not a flat bed.
I feel lucky it seems as if they knew what they were doing as both my wifes cars (based on their placement (hers is FWD) it appears they were towed "properly" in terms of what wheels were spinning. .
im most concerned with what occurs hooking the car up.

they probably ran the boom under the rear wheels and lifted them up far enough off the ground to easily roll the car around. No need for hooks. Its also the way repo men pick up cars so quickly.
If they messed anything up, you might as well just suck it up and move on. They'll find Jimmy Hoffa before you get any money out of the towing company.

my wifes car was parked head first in. It was towed however, with the front lifted (rear wheels spinning). It is a fwd. So im curious as to how that was done, as it was head first onto a side walk so there's no room for the truck to loop around. ( i wonder if they did drag it backwards just enough, then hooked it from the front)

pretty obvious, it was backed in. so unless the tow truck decided to drive all over the sidewalk, and into a condo building, it's pretty clear to me it was towed from the front.
