Hey guy. An update on the car. The towing company picked up the car today and took it of to the repair shop. The said it looks like a week and a half of work. I doubt it'll be that quick, if it is, I wouldn't trust it. Not having my 8 has made me realize how much I miss it. I have been driving a accord to get around. Does the job, but it's just not the same. Can't wait to get the 8 back.

Oh and watching them take it away was sad.....but I laughed as the rear bumper got dragged on the road as it rolled away.

Hey,

I'm just curious on the amount the other 2 shops quoted you.

Thanks,

Jag

One shop quoted 6K. And the other 7K. I took it to the Mazda dealer here as it was the Highest quote. Between 8 and 9K.

On another note, I finally got my rental after a week and a half. The officer that did the report did not turn it in till this morning. Quoted time in the shop is about 10 days. I wouldn't hold my breath. But in the mean time, I guess i should be enjoying the better gas mileage of a new Nissan sentra, but im not. A little less gas mileage at the expense of fun is a small price to pay. Can't wait for my 8 to get back.

Does that mean they towed it by the front, allowing the rear wheels to roll on the ground? I thought that was a big no-no for RWD cars?

Yeah. They towed it from the front. I thought that was only a no no for some rwd cars(S2000 i know it's a no no for) and AWD cars. I'm not sure, but i'm having a full inspection of the car done anyhow just to be safe.
