I wish the rx8 had like a sensor when ur driving with the lights off. Was kinda stupid of me for floring it too while a cop was behind me. He eventualy let me go with a warning since im only 17 and i just got the car. I was so happy cuz i had just got good grades in for school and my parents were excited. Well just wanted to share my experiance cuz i almost freaked out cuz speeding tickets suck.

 

So essentially you got pulled over for speeding, not for having your lights off, right?

Remember you were lucky on this one, you might not be so lucky next time you floor it near a cop

 

I'm not saying go speed but next time you want to put it to the floor make sure you aware of your surroundings

 

Yea i got pulled over for both my lights ang flooring it, ge tought i was high or under the influence. I will definitly be much more carefull the next time.

Unfortunatly your car does have a sensor for the lights and that sensor would be you..how can you not see your bright lights r off..

Feel lucky you got out of the ticket when i was 16,17,18 I got ALOT of tickets and there was no leeway on ANY of them I got the full punishment everyone! Feel lucky and turn ur damn lights on when it's dark!

hes young, give him a chance, when i was his age i didnt even think about speeding lol, i just did it.

 

It DOES. There is an idiot light on the dash that tells you when the lights are on. It's up to you to read that sensor.

 

I know.............but he keeps that **** up, he won't see 20. Natural selection in action! I was just razzing him....and being serious all at once

Lol i was at waterford lakes and yea im starting to remember the lights, i love my rx8 so wont be speeding that much anymore

 

Dash lights are red when on. Luckly you got out of the ticket, cops in Cali are not as friendly.

 

Dude this car is so hard to go slow in. Idk i hope i can get over the feel to stop going fast. Since the first time i got in the car it feels like a beast just wana go fast
