got my 8...few questions

Well....

before i start....
I'm IN the rotary family now...finally...heh...

I bought a used 04 galaxy gray 6MT w/GT.....

This is my first rotary... and couple things are scaring me...

1. the temp gauge doesn't reach the middle no matter how long i drive it.
It leans more towards the cold section.
I had an Eclipse GST before and it would always be in the mid.

2. I don't know how much engine oil the stupid dealers put in...but it looks
like the dipstick is way above the 'f' line.
I've been driving it for about 1000 miles...and i see no problems but..
still all the "dumping to much oil" threads are making me worried.
The gauge for E. oil is about 2 or 3 small bars towards Full.

3.After some hard runs... and I'M at a stop sign or a light..the engine makes
a pretty big clicking noise. click..clic...clik....
(It annoys me when I'm at a drive through, bad looking car...making cheap noises..)

Well...anywayz.... the ride is...a BOMB...
love the engine sound when revved over 4500....
cornering is....just plain...AWWsome...
hitting 65MPH at 2nd gear.....priceless....
This...thing just revvs Soooooooooo.....smoothly and quickly...
heh... does need more tourqe though...

Anyone in Jersey (Bergen County)???
I'm planning to go autoX at Meadowlands this weekend w/ my bud(02 wrx)
I promised that i'll kick his a**....lol
would be great if I can meet any of ya there...
If ya see a newb knocking down all the cones...in a 8......
ITS ME...lol....

P.S. the darkside feels...SWEET~

First off you don't have a '04 Galaxy Gray, Galaxy Gray was not a color in '04.

1.) Don't worry about it, it's fine. Pay attention to where it is when you've been driving for a while and that's the spot it will be whenever the car is warmed up properly.

2.) If it's not above full you're fine.

3.) Seems like something many others have reported and it's not anything wrong with the car, but others will know better than I.

Have fun with it and goodluck at your first autox.
