Goodbye 8, hello.....

2009 cc. Decided to trade the 8 in for an '09 vw cc sport 6 speed manual. So far no regrets, the power is great (stock 0-60 in 6.9) phenomenal mileage (averaging 32 mpg w sprited driving) and the luxury features and sound system are great. I also got a great deal because the '10s are coming in soon. the design of the car turns heads (maybe not as much as the 8 did) and its still fun to drive even though its fwd, it just made sense in wicsonsin for me to have a car that can be driven year round. I got a pretty good trade in for my '04 touring with 55k miles of $9500(trust me you wont get more than this anywhrere) Ill be buying the $600 apr ecu upgrade that will get me 254 whp and 297 tq to get me up to or past the speed of the 8 which will make the transistion even easier. Its been great here you guys are awesome, enjoy your 8's, I know ill miss some things about mine! cheers

That's a different class than the 8 altogether. Nonetheless, you'll be happy with the mileage.

Congrats!

I drove the new a4 and manuals are pretty much non existant. They couldn't find one that didn't have someones name on it on the freight trucks. I drove the auto a4 and actually prefferred how the cc drove. Both are really nice/fun cars to drive though. Plus it was about 4k cheaper and with more options. No sunroof with the manual though but o well

Nice upgrade! I had looked at the CC and really liked it, but it's too big for me. Even though I'm 6'2, I don't like the feel of being in a large vehicle like I used to. The dang Mazda6 I had was too big. The 8 feels just a tad too small. I'll probably get another Golf or a GTI. But you got a sharp ride, without a doubt! All the reviews I've read have said that the 2.0T is actually more fun to drive than the V6.

Can I ask where you traded your 8 in and got the CC? I've been shopping around the Mlwaukee area a little looking for something new. The new Jetta TDI and the CC are on my list of cars to look at.

I saw one yesterday out on the road. It actually really caught my eye. VW did something distinctive and cool.

Nice car, man.

So far its been great. I got it at boucher franklin vw in franklin wi. By far the best car buying experience ever. Talk to joe he is the best. I got the car for 300 under invoice it was stickered at 29k (I got sat radio bluetooth, monster mat package and chrome exhaust) and it ended up being just shy of 27k I believe

It seems like a nice car. Looks luxurious enough.
Good or bad, the exterior styling reminds me of a Buick, especially the rear.

It looks nice but VWs today are the FIATs of the 70s. Great engineered cars that just fall apart around you.

I hop you have good luck with yours, enjoy.

yeah i noticed that too, haha, shoulda moved it outta the handicapped spot first. I dont keep my cars long anyway, had a gsx, spyder, evo, s2000, rx8 and now this so im not worried about it fallin apart, seems much better built than any of the cars ive had.

I too am in in Wisconsin and sold my '04 automatic in a private sale last month for $12,500, 33k on the odometer. Pretty good indication of the spread between a trade and a private sale.
