Hello all. Well, after doing lots of research and doing a lot of work after initially making several Noob mistakes, I finally took my car out for a spin this afternoon and am happy to report that She is running better than ever! After running what I thought was pretty good after purchase in July, I started getting misfires which got progressively worse. I forget when I found the Club, but if I hadn't, I'm sure my 8 would be another sad story of engine failure and talk of Lemon Yellow. After much help and guidance from members, who I won't name for fear of forgetting someone, (ya'll know who ya'll are), I was able to find and fix my problems. I had a bad cat and traced the root cause to a bad plug and coil. Changed all plugs, coils, and wires, cleaned MAF and ESS, replaced cat with BHR midpipe and did the 20 brake pedal stomp. Things I would not have been able to do without the Club and it's members. I know there has been discussion lately about intolerance on the Forum, but I had very pleasant interactions with many of you, and though my story may be long, I hope this shows everyone the good things that happen here. I have a pretty serious illness which popped up unexpectedly, and the almost daily readings of the Forum kept me thinking about better days when I could work on my 8 and get Her going again. Treatment is going well and prognosis is good. So thanks for indulging me, and again a HUGE THANK YOU to all! Today was a Good Friday!
