Good detailer vacuum...

I've heard of vacuums designed to plug into the lighter for detailing the interior. I recently got a good cloud of desert dirt/sand in my 8 Any suggestions on where/what vacuum to buy to clean out all the small nooks/crevices? It makes me cry, staring at stuck grains of dirt/sand...

Any local Pepboys, AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts or O'Riely's should have a vacum like that for around $10-20. I bought one at my work for $10 and for the money it does a alright job, nothing to write a review about but 'eh.

Will it suck the dirt out of cracks where plastic pieces meet?

mine does a decent job but the small brush they give you is alright but its kinda ruff so if your looking for something ultra soft these wont cut it. Again it does the job I expected for the money I paid. I usualy use it when I'm at the local car wash and dont feel like paying to use their vacum's when I hope I just use my home vacum with the brush attachement they are more powerful than those mini things anyways. Extension cords rule btw lol

Yes, and one that plugs into the cig lighter, right?

KoHC: That just pushes it around and maybe further into the cracks. I want the dirt removed.

More seriously--I live at an apartment complex so it is difficult to use a large household vacuum. Any suggestions besides an extension cord?

I have an OreckXLauto handheld for the car and it was a bit expensive but works like a shop vac.

Picked up a 10 buck vacuum from Wal-Mart. It works pretty good. Although, I wish it had a better "crevice brush" tool.
