relax, sport. sticky threads are there for a reason so you don't need to know the whole forum inside and out but they're at the top because they are always asked. seriously, give it a shot and take a peek.

Well ok I got your point.
Actually you say that there is not difference with full or empty tank regarding the performance. Anyway you turned this thread into a joke because you considered my question a joke. Sure this is a method to tackle a problem
1) With a full tank you do not have any fuel starvation problems at hard corners. This actually makes you run better at a track. It is a fact and not a joke.
2) Does the fuel pump retains fuel pressure constant regardless the level of the tank? Anybody?

and one thing with the car maybe being a little peppier when your tank is almost empty, is that the AFR might lean out a little to get better gas mileage in order to get you to a gas station or something. im just saying cause nitro RC cars lean out when the tank is almost empty.

Oh why hasn't anyone corrected any of you buffoons??
I drove for 5 years in a tropical climate (Philippines) and noticed this power difference after getting fresh fuel. What actually happens is..
The longer your gas is in your tank (and especially if its been subject to allot of heat.. esp. baking your car in the sun), the octane rating will drop and some of the gas also evaporates into gas vapor.
If your fuel pump is using some of that gaseous fuel, of course it's not going to produce as much power.
I read somewhere that it's good practice to use up all your gas in your tank within 2 weeks (or so) because gas does expire. My last car had almost the gas mileage of a Prius so my regular fill-ups happen every 2 weeks in that small city where I lived. I usually filled up to half a tank at most to avoid this.
So filling up your tank to capacity will make your car slower b/c of the weight but to get the most power and response, try putting in only about 1/4 - 1/3 of gas in your tank.... and here's another trick I learned.. you can open your gas cap when you feel the power isn't there anymore and you will hear gas hissing out.. that is actually the gas vapor escaping (won't do much to fuel economy haha) but you'll feel more response I bet. I haven't done this to my RX8 yet as the car drinks gas fast enough as it is, but this has worked with my last car in the tropical climate.

The best thing to do.. or at least what they say to do is...
1) fill up in the early morning when the gas is cooler and thicker.
2) try not to run less then a 1/2 tank cause the more air that is in the tank, the more your gas will evaporate.
