Full Tank - Seems to pull stronger

Well,

I always wondering how come?

Always talking for performance in a straight line. How come every time I full up or almost full my tank the car seems to pull stronger?

Is it related to the fuel pressure ? Is it placebo? I would expect the opposite because a full tank means extra weight which means lower performance !

^ apart from the magic do you think it is placebo? Do you think that has to do with fuel temp when you fill gas from a gas station. What a about fuel pressure?

I notice my car always seems very perky right below the 3/4 of a tank mark, and right at the last drop of gas. At the mid tank mark it seems kinds lazy, the full tank and 1/4 tank are above the mid tank but not as perky as 3/4 of a tank. haha, make sense?

isnt synthetic terrible for the engine, my dealership tells me that synthetic or 5w30 will void my warranty and tear apart the engine because synthetic breaks down at high temps and becomes too thin of oil for the rotary engine.

haha, stupid dealers. i use royal purple 5w30, and i havent had a problem with it yet. i will switch to 10w 30 in the summer for thicker protection. a little rule of thumb for you. thinner oil in the winter, thicker oil in the summer. nycgps also uses synthetic, along with hundreds of others on this site. I dont think it will void your warranty either

there are 21 pages in a separate thread that is a sticky thread no less.

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/cumulative-synthetic-oil-discussion-52856/

try checking that first and then come back or just do a search and find it has been discussed countless other times.

dont sweat it. the oil debate is a huge one. staunch supporters are either side.

then after you selected dino or synth. then you are allowed to get into debates on what viscosity.

:P

also, my car seems to pull stronger when i leave the gas station. mostly because i want to use a little of the fuel i just put in the car.

now it really is. its drag coefficient is reduced. especially if you wax the car. then it becomes like a slippery little bullet!

If I remember correct gas weighs a little over 6lbs a gallon. So I don't really see how adding 84lbs to your car could make it faster.
