Front Bumper Removal Problem

Tried removing the front bumper today to replace my HID lights and fogs. When trying to remove the forth grommet on the driver side wheel liner, the head of the screw was stripped. Tried reaching within the fender liner and tried pushing the screw out, but wasn't able to. The screw has to be turned counter-clockwise in order to "pop out", which is now impossible to do seeing as the screw head is stripped.

Anyone know where to get a replacement grommet/screw for this inner fender liner? It looks like I may have to cut it out.

Ive had that exact problem when putting my clear corners. I had to go to mazda and buy 2 new ones. The key is to turn it A LITTLE BIT. I mean like 45 degrees or so. You have to use a flat head and wedge it in between and force it out now. I hate those things lol.

I would turn it with your finger (a tiny bit and it will want to pop out) and use a flat head or your nails to pull it out

Do you have a part # for the grommet/screw? Also how much did it cost you?

I ended up using a knife to separate the two, then using small needle-nose pliers (while holding the outer ring) to crank the screw counter-clock wise, which finally got the damn thing out.

They are .67 cents each at the dealer with part # BC1D-56-145 (Clip, Mud Guard) in case anybody has the same problem.
