footwell lights
I just had the footwell lights installed... i hate the way they are connected to my door sensors and they go off after the doors close... i have heard where people have hooked them up to your headlights and have them on at night... thats what i want... can some1 plz give me the info about doing that... like how long does it take? is it hard to do? is it worth it? please help me out! i'd appreciate it because im turning 16 monday and i want them hooked up the way i want for when i have my license... thanks

uhh how am i doomed? just because i got a rx8 when im 16? i think u guys are just pissed cause u had shitty cars when u were 16... its not my fault my dad works his *** off to get us nice cars... that dont mean im doomed...

no they are the factory footwell light kit lights... the red ones... and a mazda store installed them so they hooked it up to the doors instead of my headlights... thank you for showin some interest in the actual problem instead of the other ppl bitchin bout me havin an rx8.. please give me some help if possible! thanks

Hook the positive up to the parking light positive (black with a red stripe) and just hook the neg up as a ground somewhere.

I just made my own footwell lights, hooked up to the headlight circuit through the little light that usually goes in the ashtray (since my ashtray obviously isn't there anymore).
It is just two 12" Blue cold cathodes hooked into one inverter, which is behind the screen. I also have a switch under the panel on the driver's side so I can switch it off.

damn that looks really good... i would do exactly that except in red because my seats are black and red.. but i already had these lights installed... that looks good tho... do u think they hook up the same as the factory lights?
