Florida to New York
Just took a trip from Florida to New York, about 1400 miles. I stopped in DC for a couple days. Trip was great, and I did not have any problems. My car was completely packed and I was averaging about 85 mph the entire trip so I am sure I could have gotten better gas mileage, but I averaged about 21.5 mpg for the trip. I made a tally of some of the cars I saw along the way, and I am pleased to say I did not see 1 RX8 while driving the entire trip. I was however going pretty fast and was constantly on the look out for cops so I may have missed some. Here is the tally…
350z – 11
S2000 – 4
When I stopped in DC for a couple days though I went to see a movie at some mall in Columbia with my cousin and I saw 2 RX-8s there. Maybe people don’t like taking their RX8 on the highway
And maybe it is just me, or the cooler air in the northeast, but I feel that the car has a lot more pickup after this trip than when I got it. Does that have to do with the aging? Its still young. I must also admit that the car loves the back country twisty roads of the Northeast more than I-95.

The only 8s I seem to encounter are members on here and they all honk and/or wave at me. Once or twice I have encountered one that must not have been. I get along side them and smile and wave or whatever, and they would just look at me like I was nuts or something.
