Floor mat question

Just noticed, a small black metal piece hanging around my turnk area and it looks like a piece to mount the floor mats. Mine came with the premium mats and the rubber all season ones. Though I do not have the mounts that secure the floor mats to the floor of the car so lately my mat on the driver side has been sliding up and down. How do you mount these things? Should I just bring it to the dealer? I don't have the mounting hardware or anything just one metal bracket.

This should have been installed for you at the dealer. Not sure if the bracket snaps-in.. just take it back and have them install it for you.

There is only just the one bracket that provides a peg for the hole in the driver's floor mat. There are no pegs or anything for the other three mats.

Get your dealer to install it (no charge) - it should have been installed as part of the pre-delivery inspection.

Regards,
Gordon

Iknow this is an old issue buttoday I wanted to vaccuum the floors of my car and I cleaned all of them fine except for the driver side floor. I couldnt figure out how to lift the floor mat off the floor b/c that pin is holding it into the foor. Is the driver side floor mat supposed to be stuckto the floor like this and unremovable or is therea way to take it off so you can clean the floor underneath the mat and then put it back in?
