First US owner post your pic!
So who is going to take delivery and post a pic next to their 8 first? (Budaman can verify RDR registration/date/owner so no cheating). Pics/video at the dealer preferred, maybe holding your RX-8 Yamaguchi book.

My moneys on someone in California. Mazda would have to hold their cars 8 to 10 days for the trains to get to inland ports for someone in Mountain and Gulf regions to beat them. But they could!!!

i would guess me. since i will be here when the car is unloaded and going to start paperwork right away. i will have an advantage since i work here i wont have to take time off or anything. so i think i will be the very first person with an rx8 so i can probably even say i will be the ONLY person for a little while, perhaps even for a whole hour or so.

It has been speculated that the cars are being sent out to the farthest dealers 1st, closest last, so that a "national release" can be executed. I haven't seen any pub to promote such a release, so why do it? You Hawaii, Cali, Canada guys are hatin' it. The cars are basically sold, so why prolong the suffering so some shmoe on the East Coast can get theirs the same day as you?

It better be a current forum member and not some 1st-post person thumbing their nose at the pre-order people here.
Date-stamping your digicam while holding up the window sticker(Monroney label) you just took off standing next to the car will verify authenticity.

all this time i was thinking i would be first, but last night i thought more about it, i bet i will not be first. though i work at the dealer i will probably be first in california, but not usa wide, becasue of the time difference. if the car gets here first thing in the morning and i do the paperwork it will be about 9:30am pst by then it will be almost noon or so back east, so i think someone back east person will be first.

I have the digital camera ready and new batteries for back-up. Now that the official status is "released", my dealer says today is the day! However, since we are about 5 hours from Jaxport, he said the car would be here late this afternoon. I am hoping to post pictures later tonight! But I don't think we will be the first, if all of the Jaxport cars are released at the same time.

O.K. guys, my car is here!!!! Don't ask me how I got this damn lucky, but I do believe I am the first in the U.S and I am on the forum! I'll be out driving all day today and this weekend...
Btw, my dealer has been absolutely fantastic!! My hats off to everyone at Russ Dunmire Mazda, and to all those that made this possible- many, many thanx!!!
