Dang you are friggin lucky! I probably be a grown man in tears if my folks bought the car for me and surprise me like that. I've seen you post a few times I thought you already had a rx8

Reminds me of a local (hardhitter) when he got his car. Becareful with it and keep the dsc on. Drive safe and enjoy. Happy holidays.

If you have the sport package, the DSC on/off switch will be on the lower left portion of the dash (just above the trunk release). It resets to "on" every time you start the car. Use lots of care when you cut it loose, you'll do a 360!

Enjoy, you lucky dog!!

Hmmmm, Mazda does not make clear if the switch is there on anything other than the sport package. Still probing...

Checked both the mazdausa.com site as well as the '05 brochure PDF;

Apparently the switch option comes with the sport package only.

BTW: fenderlover, get rid of the dealer tag...

Merry Christmas to you! Your Mom just bought a bunch of "my son is gonna be real nice to me" time for herself AND a bunch of great seat time for you. Love em both, ok?

Congrats on your new ride.

I know how you feel even though I am paying for the car when my wife said let's get the 8 instead of the 6 I was in awe.

Also have to thank that salesman that asked if we had kids. Then he said, "You can always get the 6 later."

That is awesome fenderlover.

So is it that you enjoy car fenders or Fender guitars?

Congrats on your new car...
Thanks for the clarification help, I was under the impression that it was on all 04 models, 05 as an option.
Is yours an 04 or 05?

Mazda USA contradicts even in literature...

Just teasing about the tag.
So you do have the switch... get to know the car before you try DSC off, take it to a closed area when fooling around for the first few times.

Your mom is so cool, my mom bought me a Trail bike once and I thought she was cool...

Your mum might be struggling to pay for the car so take her out some time for a cruise or something and don't get yourself in any car accident (TOUCH WOOD). Enjoy your ride mate!
