A few questions

Hey guys. I'm fairly new here. I've had my 04 BB for more than a year and have surfed around rx8club for a while, just haven't posted much. But anyways, I think it's about time to start putting some parts on my car and i wanted to ask all of you for your opinions.

First, I really want the OEM aero package. I have been looking in the parts for sale thread but I've yet to see a BB package that was being sold. Would you guys have any idea where I could look other than mazda's website to find the kit for a reasonable price?

Next, I would like to get an exhaust system. I originally wanted the Greddy sp2 but I've read where people complain about it being too loud, so now I think I'm leaning towards the mazdaspeed system. Any idea's where to look?

Finally, I was wanting to get the switchblade key. Is this a pain in the butt to get cut or even to just find somewhere to cut it? If any of you have bought one off the net where did you get it, and does it work?

I have looked on ebay before. I know I've seen a lot of posts talking about certain stores on ebay where you can find what you are looking for, but everytime I go look for those stores I can never find them.

I got my Back-up switchblade key from a store called midwestkeyless i think... first one they sent me i took to get programmed and the dealer came back out 20 mins later and said the key was broken (it may have been the key but my guess is that the dealer broke it...) But i called Midwest Keyless the next day and they sent me a different one free of charge so i guess i could reccomend them.

edit: as for getting it cut i took it to a locksmith and made small talk with him and he cut it for free... took him like 1 minute.

Unless you're planning to wait years to find all or parts of a BB appearance package used, you'd best be served by buying the pieces from one of the Mazda dealers that sells things at discount. Check out the vendor forum of the Web site also try Google.

I bought a BB front appearance package piece from these guys. No sales tax and free shipping for me in Calif. http://www.mazdaparts.org/exac8.html

If you want an exhaust and don't want it to be too loud, I suggest the Racing Beat REV8.

It is deeper than stock and is a 3in cat back. The MAzdaspeed is only 2.5in which doesn't help the flow as much.

Aero Package- either ur going to wait a long time till a BB sells theirs or just buy any other color and get it painted for about $200 IMO.

As far as the exhaust REV8 would be ur choice.

Keyless- I have no idea, it has not interested me.

If my 8 didn't come with the aero package, I would just save the money
and put it towards a nice kit.
