I'm new here, so if this is a repost I apologize. I was at a local dealer today and happened to ask the salesman if he thought the RX8 would ever be available in white. He had an interesting response, he said in about two years Mazda was planning on releasing a special edition 300hp turbo that would be painted Metallic White. This is the first I have heard about this and found it interesting that he would divulge this to someone who is shopping for a new RX8. Is this a known fact? It was news to me.

 

He is talking about the Mazdaspeed 8. No word on color... escpecially metallic white?!? But yeah it won't be for awhile.

 

He's bullshitting.

 

That's a common trick by salespeople to increase the hype and excitement over a car. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.
