I was going to say maybe he bought a 2007 and had it painted, but then I saw the 2004 black washer fluid reservoir. Maybe he had the car painted and the black reservoir retrofitted!

which order was the yellow available? darker yellow in 04-05, then pale in 06, no?

ah, w/e. it's yellow either way.

Only 2004's have the black washer fluid reservoir? Mine is a 2005 (VIN and Carfax proven) with the black washer fluid container. Just sayin...

lol. apparently he only slightly listened...it still says 2007 under the actual description and detail chart, but everywhere else it says 2004.

Yea, that's the kinda guy i'd wanna invest my $20K car in. Can't even get the year right...

It's a Mazda thing. Yellow's a first year color. If there's a mk2 8, it'll probably get yellow the first year as well.
