to be honest, if i weren't so friggin mad from the intial shock, i probably almost would have. The one thing i kept thinking was WHY...on a BRAND NEW car. Unbelievable.

Since then, i've gotten it cleaned up and I don't think there are any other tells of the incident left, unless extreamely minute. After about a week of maintenece and double-check cleaning, the sunroof now closes and opens without any other sounds. I have found a few conspicious chips here and there on the car, but I don't think their from that incident. hmm.

It is this attitude by law enforcement that partly perpetuates these types of crime. There is NEVER a reason someone's rightful actions should make them deserving of being victimized. I am appalled at this comment of law enforcement attitude. Law enforcement officials who view victims as 'stupid' should find another profession as they are not cut out to protect the community.

i disagree, i agree with him completely because as i would lover to trust everyone in the world completely the reality just isn't there. WHY NOT LOCK THE CAR? it comes with locks for a purpose because people steal cars. its like gettin mad at an officer for just stating the truth. would you leave your house with the door wide open??? people are ready to jump on cops as soon as they say the same **** that any other person would say. i say bravo officer.

very true. the rx8 is at the price range of people getting jealous and doing such things. Now a Lotus, they look like such expensive cars, people don't want to risks damaging it because if they are caught, they have to pay A LOT to fix it. Maybe one would be in danger at night, but in the daytime something like that will be fine (in most areas). Thats why my neighbor doesn't drive his Elise at night.

um, news flash. People are stupid. Regardless of what line of work one is in, it is painfully obvious. The po-po here said they empathize w/victim, but they see how easily avoided such acts could be. The sad part is, if an officer called it like it is the whole town and state would get sued b/c some jackass did little or nothing to prevent a problem, and then was "offended" by the truth.

O I got another one. Doing a project in my car for school on the last week. Theres a girl in the passenger side of the car parked next to me, and lemme tell you this girl hates me. So im doing my report and I hear a "thud" and she smiles at me and waves saying I threw a sandwich at your car! Are you ******* kidding me? Suddenly im distracted by some girl screaming at another girl, she comes running across the parking lot into the car parked next to me (yes the same car with sandwich girl). Shes so pissed off that she slams the rear door into my cars rear fender!!!! Im looking down working and I hear a smash I look up and out the window back towards the sound. The girl at first drops her jaw and covers her mouth, then she proceeds to laugh!!! Un ******* believable!!! waves at me and takes off in the car! I didn't even have anytime to react to that bitch, and now I have a dent in my rear fender and the paint is chipped.

I'd have tailed just to catch her plate after hearing the thud. There WOULD have been justice to that one! That or i'd have taken a hostage

I only WISH i could catch someone in the act. It would be an ugly day for someone...REALLY quick.

Believe in the karma. If you believe in the science of physics, you believe in karma. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Such is the definition of karma, and one of Newton's laws I think (i'm a mechanical eng. major, i should know this ).

Anyhow, just remember that jealously/envy is the sincerest form of flattery.

Are you saying that Newton's laws, and/or physics = karma? So, if I "believe in the science of physics", I believe in karma? Because my brakes stop my8 based on a mathmatical equation relating to my velocity, and other such factors, that means what comes around goes around?

I think Ike just killed a few more cute, fluffy animals.

LOL!

And all along I'd thought I was the only person that did this. Only when things seem really shady...but nonetheless, i've done it quite a few times myself.

Cell phone photos probably wouldn't hold much weight it court, but it makes it a lot easier to get the true story told to the police when you make your complaint.
Does that even make sense? If you take a picture of car next to you how does that prove it made any of the damage? Someone else could have pulled in smash your car with a 2x4 and then hightailed it out of there only to have the guy you see next to you pull in a few minutes later.

Man, I was just joking about the "general disdain for neighbors" comment, but what the hell has the world done to you?! If your car gets dinged up, you don't have to sue anyone over it.

He was referring to my comment, saying that since I was in my car witnessing what was being done to it that I should have taken pictures. Yet I could not react I just thought I was having a nightmare or something. The ***** it takes to do **** like that when while I am in the car. It was practically impossible to believe what I was witnessing.

I think cool-dad's comment was more for comfort of at least having SOME kinda proof, rather it be iron-clad and courtroom material, or just a promissory note of knowing whose responsible for it. At least, that's the way I personally look at it. Just a comfort thing.

although it's a pretty far tangent off the original topic...

I was looking for a special edition of a movie that no-one carried, and was only available online, to my knowledge. Fye was the only place around us that carries such movies. And I had to have it that day, which meant I couldn't order it online.

Apparently, it was absolutely necessary to me.

vandalism happened to my acura one time..its kinda hookd up..i had the body kit and exhaust intake tints rims w/e.. i was at my friends house and my car was parked out front in the street in front of his house.. anyway..me and my friend go outside to talk while he has a cigarette and i see a few young high school kids walkin by .. i doubt they saw me because we were on the side of my friends hosue.. when they get to start walkin past my car.. they start walking slower and one of the kids looks in the window.. and presses his face to the glass peering inside.. im liek "wtf is this kid doing?" he then tries to open the handle to get into my car.. and then i hear a thud.. a loud one.. and i think he kciked it and he made a nice size dent in the bottom side of my door.. at that point i walk from the side of the house pretending not to know what happened..the kids started walking away faster.. and then my friend followed me out and we chased after the kid who kickd my door.. i ran him down and punched and he fell to the floor.. 2 of his buddies tried to come back to try and hit me but my friend was tehre and they just ran away... while the kid was on the floor i started yellin at him and **** and cursin at him tellin him hes gonna pay for that.. he gave me w/e money he had in his wallet and i let him go.. turns out i guess the kid just got paid from work and i ended up with about $200... was i wrong in hitting him? he musta been in 10th or 11th grade or soemthin..im only a soph in college its not like im a grown adult man hitting a minor.,..im almost 19..but gotta enforce some street justice u know?
