engine warranty question

so I noticed that in the powertrain warranty, if your 8 can't make it to the dealership under its own power, the tow will be covered by the dealership. I was wondering if this applied to the 8 year engine extended warranty as well. See I'm (still) looking into getting an 8, but the nearest mazda dealership is an hour away, which would be a rather expensive tow if worse comes to worse.

I don't think it's covered IIRC..
i wouldnt let that worry you too much
the car doesn't have to be un-driveable to be "out of spec" for a replacement... more likely than not, if you do get a replacement, you will have symptoms weeks prior.

they dont cover the towing...or at least my dealership didnt. Your engine can still be functioning and the powertrain warranty will apply as long as they find a legit reason to replace it i.e low compression.

it is not included. the mazda roadside assistance is the same period as the bumper-to-bumper, not the extended warranty.
